We stayed in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. This is the town center.
Here we are at the front entrance to the Mt. Vernon Inn.
It was a quaint little place with a court yard and each room decorated in a different theme.
Breakfast was cooked on the spot to order by Helga the owner.
And, boy, was it good!
And there was a nice pogoda for outdoor entertainment and socializing.
Arrival and parking at the racetrack was the start of a great day.
First we hit the demo rides before the lines got long.
Mary and I tried out a Road King and Jackie took it for a spin also.
Afterward we went for a beer. Some lines just can't be avoided.
Most of us drank the beer but some folks preferred to wear it.
Now for a rest in shade with our beer and sun screen.
Let's go to the races! This is the starting line of the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course.
We've got a very good vantage point. Pass the beer cooler, please!
It was really a trip back in time to hear the announcer calling out marques from years ago like BSA, Triumph, Norton, and Indian.
